Why do Artists choose to use Jumpin' Jack Flash?
1.) Artists get an itemized report of who I sold to. This will allow you to check up on us and insure I'm not out there screwing around and ripping you off. I know I am honest, but fact is you deserve to know it too.
2.) I give a bigger percentage of your sales to you. Sixty five percent!
3.) I have a better understanding of the legalities concerning art. Currently no publisher gives a licensing agreement to shops. It is illegal to tattoo and display art that you have purchased without permission to do so. You can sue any shop who has your art and no agreement. No other publisher gives permission.
4.) Most of my artists actively participate in protecting each others art. Artists published under my company are trained to search to make sure nobody is pirating our art. Artists who do not actively participate are penalized and do not receive their check for one month per week that they do not monitor their assigned area... including a local shop each month. No other publisher gives this kind of protection.
5.) I will be traveling. We all know that the internet is not the best place to sell our art. Neither are catalog or magazines. I will be doing both, but I also travel weekly.
6.) Because I travel, I establish a better relationship with shops. Many of them become loyal to me because I show up. They enjoy being able to see the art in person... and that the art is not plastered all over the internet so that people can trace it.
7.) I don't display full images of art on the internet or in some catalog. Any respectable tattooist and artist knows that publishers who are doing this are raping us artists of potential sales by doing this.
8.) You can get a hold of me personally.
9.) I will barter with your art through you. Some shops aren't doing so well. They need a discount. I can call you every time this happens, or you can give me permission in advance to allow me to do this.
10.) I sincerely care about artists. I'm not in it totally for the money. Me beginning this business will force the other publishing companies to straighten up or become known as not respectable. If I have to, I will become non profit... and I will more than likely do it anyway, just to show that I truly care.
Sincerely,
Shane Clark
